Monica Nickolai is a writer and new media installation artist with an interest in language and story telling. Her work explores ontology versus epistemology—the nature of human existence versus the way we as humans measure and record those experiences. She investigates language, public spaces, and historical and cultural topographies.
Nickolai earned her MFA in writing from School of the Art Institute of Chicago. As an international artist, she has worked, studied, and exhibited across the globe. She currently lives in Daejeon, Korea.
